Cottonwood Creek Golf Course is  a daily fee facility operated by the City of Waco. This is the only public golf course owned by the city. The course was designed in 1985 and has been Waco's premiere public facility since then. Cottonwood has averaged around 40,000 rounds a year over the last decade. Cottonwood also hosts many public and private tournaments. We are the home to the Starburst Jr. Golf Classic which was the biggest Jr tournament in the world at one point. Our facility consist of an 18 hole golf course, 27 lane driving range, a 9 hole par three course, club repair lab, and a bar and grill.

​JOB DESCRIPTION 
Job Duties for an assistant golf professional  include maintaining the pro shop and directing traffic on the course. This is done through checking people and selling rounds through a Point of Sale system. Scheduling tee times is also done through a computer system.  We are also responsible for keeping up with the merchandise in the pro shop and reconciling our drawer at the end of each night for deposits. We report to the Head Golf Professional. Other duties include club repair, giving golf lessons, assisting with tournament operation, and managing the outside service staff.

Job Details 
Pay: $10-$12.00 depending on experience 
Benefits: Free Golf 
Hours: 40+ a week. Overtime Often required. Must work weekends.
